Installation of the dals RGR2-CC 8 Watt Round LED Downlight requires knowledge of luminaire electrical systems and should be done by a certified electrician. Here is a step-by-step guide for installation:
1. Before starting the installation, shut off the line feed power using the circuit breaker.
2. Drill a hole in the ceiling and prepare the supply wires. Install and unshield the line feed wire, leaving a 6" (15 cm) length, and strip the wires to a length of 5/8" (1.6 cm).
3. Bring the supply power to the junction box through the knockout.
4. Open the lid of the junction box. Use wire nuts to connect the white wire from the line feed to the white wire of the junction box, the black wire from the line feed to the black wire of the junction box, and the copper wire from the line feed to the green wire of the junction box.
5. For the RGR2-CC / RGR2SQ-CC model, ensure that there are a maximum of 3, #14 conductors in the junction box. For the RGR4-CC / RGR4SQ-CC and RGR6-CC / RGR6SQ-CC models, ensure that there are a maximum of 6, #14 conductors in the junction box.
6. Route the junction box through the cut-out and connect the recessed LED panel to the junction box using the quick connector.
7. Compress the springs on the fixture and push it into the opening. It is easier to do one spring at a time.
