To install the Dimplex Gorstan GST20 Optiflame Inset Fire, follow these steps:
1. Clean the area where the fire will be installed, removing any ash residue from an existing fireplace.
2. Hold the fire by the sides of the surround and gently maneuver it into position.
3. Plug the fire into a 13amp/240-volt outlet, ensuring that the supply cable is not trapped under the fire.
4. Use the adjustable feet provided at the rear of the fire to level it on an uneven surface, if necessary.
5. If desired, use the keyhole slot on the rear of the fire surround or spacer to provide extra stability by attaching a xxxx and rawl plug to a suitable wall (such as a block wall).
6. If your model has a metal surround spacer, it can be removed by unscrewing the fixing screws at the rear of the product.
7. Determine the installation position of the screws based on the dimensions provided in the manual.
8. Drill holes for the rawl plugs and insert them.
9. Position the fire alongside the screws and lift it up and over the xxxx heads so that the top edge of the slot on the fire engages behind the heads.
10. Arrange the fuelbed materials (crystals, coal, logs, and pebbles) on the fuelbed according to your preference.
