To install the TP-Link RE305 AC1200 WiFi Range Extender, please follow these steps:
1. Place the range extender in a location where it can receive a strong wireless signal from your existing router. The ideal location is halfway between your router and the area where you need a stronger WiFi signal.
2. Plug the range extender into a power outlet near your router.
3. Wait for the Power LED on the range extender to turn solid green.
4. On your computer or mobile device, connect to the WiFi network named "TP-Link_Extender_XXXXXX" (XXXXXX represents the last six characters of the range extender's MAC address).
5. Open a web browser and enter "http://tplinkrepeater.net" or "http://192.168.0.254" in the address bar. Press Enter.
6. You will be prompted to enter the default username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "admin" as well. Enter these credentials and click Login.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the range extender. You will need to select your existing WiFi network and enter the password.
8. Once the setup is complete, the range extender will reboot and connect to your existing WiFi network.
9. Move the range extender to the desired location where you need a stronger WiFi signal. Make sure it is within the range of your existing router.
10. Connect your devices to the WiFi network extended by the range extender, using the same WiFi network name and password as your existing router.
