To install the Lightwave LP70 Smart Sensor, please follow these steps:
1. Choose an appropriate location: Find a suitable place to situate the sensor. It can be positioned free-standing on a table or shelf, or affixed to a wall or ceiling using the magnetic mount.
2. Gather the necessary tools: You will need suitable screwdrivers, your Lightwave Link Plus, and a smartphone.
3. Insert the battery: Undo the xxxx on the back cover of the sensor using a flat head screwdriver. Remove the rear plastic and spacer to reveal the battery compartment. If replacing a battery, remove the existing one. Insert the CR2477 coin cell battery, ensuring the positive symbol (+) is facing upwards. Once the battery is inserted correctly, the LED will flash green.
4. Mount the sensor: If mounting on a vertical surface, use a cross head screwdriver to mount the magnetic base on a flat surface. Gently attach the sensor to the magnetic mount, ensuring the Fresnel lens is not upside down. Adjust the viewing angle to suit your needs.
5. Link the sensor to your Link Plus: Open the Lightwave app on your smartphone and select the "+" symbol to add a new device. Follow the in-app instructions to link the sensor. Press the "Learn" button on the sensor until the LED flashes blue then red. Press the green "Link" button on the app screen. The LED will rapidly flash blue to indicate successful linking.
