To install the DURATECH PLP-REM Controller, follow these steps:
1. For a single PLP-REM unit, connect a 12VAC magnetic transformer to the "12VAC FROM TRANSFORMER" terminal of the PLP-REM.
2. Connect the pool lights to the "12VAC TO LAMPS" terminal in the PLP-REM.
3. Install the included filter C to the primary circuit (230VAC side) of the transformer.
4. Make sure the total power load does not exceed the max rating of the "12VAC TO LAMPS" relay contact, which is 58A.
5. For multiple PLP-REM installations, connect the PLP-REMs with each other using the CAN bus. Connect the CAN terminals of the first PLP-REM with the CAN terminal of the second PLP-REM. If more than 2 PLP-REMs are necessary, daisy chain each CAN terminal with the next PLP-REM. Set the DIP switches on the PLP-REMs to the correct MASTER/SLAVE setting.
6. In a Master/Slave setup, only the PLP-REM set as MASTER will react to transmitter commands. Additional transmitters need to be paired with this MASTER PLP-REM.
7. Use a shielded twisted pair cable to connect multiple PLP-REMs using the CAN bus.
