The Focal FDP 6.900 6 Channel Amplifier offers different crossover configurations for each channel. Here is how you can set the crossover configuration:
1. For Channels 1 & 2:
- Flat: This setting allows for a full range signal with no crossover activated.
- HP: Activates the High Pass Filter for a midbass or tweeter.
- Copy 3 & 4: Copies the signals and filters from channels 3 & 4 to channels 1 & 2. Use this mode when you need a band pass filter on all four channels. This is recommended when bridging channels 1, 2, 3, and 4.
2. For Channels 3 & 4:
- Flat: This setting allows for a full range signal with no crossover activated.
- HP: Activates the High Pass filter.
- LP/BP: Activates the selection of either a Low Pass filter for a woofer or a Band Pass filter for a midrange.
3. For Channels 5 & 6:
- Flat: This setting allows for a full range signal with no crossover activated.
- HP: Activates the High Pass filter.
- LP/BP: Activates the selection of either a Low Pass filter for a woofer or a Band Pass filter for a midrange.
- Sub Mode: This mode mixes inputs 5+6 to mono for bridge mono operation. Crossover slopes become 24dB. The subwoofer remote volume control is activated. If the clip distortion light on the remote volume control is on, reduce the volume until the light goes out to avoid damaging your speaker.
To set the crossover configuration, refer to the instructions in the manual and choose the appropriate setting based on your speaker setup and preferences.
