Cleaning the air filter is an important maintenance task to ensure optimal performance of your GREE CONS12HP230V1AF Mini Floor Console Indoor Unit. Here are the steps to clean the air filter:
1. Turn off the air conditioner and disconnect the power to avoid electric shock.
2. Open the front panel of the indoor unit by sliding the two stoppers on the left and right sides inward until they click.
3. Remove the air filter by pressing the claws on the right and left of the filter down slightly, then pulling it upward.
4. Clean the air filter by washing it with water or using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and dirt. If the dust is stubborn, you can wash the filter with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
5. If you wash the filter, make sure to dry it thoroughly before reinstalling it.
6. Reinstall the air filter by inserting the claws in the designated slots on the filter frame.
7. Close the front panel by slowly pushing it back into place.
It is recommended to clean the air filter every week to maintain good indoor air quality and prevent dust from accumulating inside the unit.
