To disassemble the Danfoss PAHT G 50-90 High-Pressure Pump, follow these steps:
1. Loosen and remove the 4 screws.
2. Remove the mounting flange.
3. Remove the spring.
4. Remove the shaft sealing, taking care not to scratch the sealing surface on the shaft.
5. Remove the 2 guide pins.
6. Remove the O-ring.
7. Turn the pump upside down.
8. Loosen and remove the 10 screws.
9. Remove the cover.
10. Remove the pistons and retainer plate.
11. Remove the retainer ball.
12. Remove the retainer.
13. Remove the spring.
14. Remove the cylinder barrel.
15. Remove the port plate.
16. Remove 1 guide pin.
17. Turn the pump upside down and remove 2 washers.
18. Loosen and remove the 6 screws.
19. Remove the port flange.
20. Remove 1 guide pin.
21. Remove the O-ring from the port flange.
22. Loosen the thrust plate from the cylinder barrel.
23. Remove the thrust plate.
24. Remove the O-rings from the thrust plate.
25. Remove the backup rings from the thrust plate.
26. Remove 1 guide pin from the end cover plate.
27. Loosen and remove the xxxx from the swash plate.
28. Remove 2 guide pins from the end cover plate.
29. Remove the O-ring from the end cover plate.
30. Remove the shaft sealing from the mounting flange.
31. Remove the shaft sealing from the mounting flange.
To inspect the pump, follow these guidelines:
Valve and thrust plate:
- Check that neither the valve plate nor the thrust plate show any signs of wear.
- Hold a ruler against the surface of the plate and check for tightness against a light source.
- Check that both O-rings and backup rings are not broken and do not show severe wear.
Swash plate:
- Check that the surface of the swash plate is smooth and without any large scratches (depth more than 0.1 mm).
Pistons:
- The play in the ball and socket joint must not exceed 0.1 mm.
- The thickness of the piston shoes must be at least 4.4 mm.
- Hold a ruler against the surfaces of the piston shoes to check that they are even and smooth without any scratches.
- Check the bushes in the cylinder barrel for wear and scratches.
- Check the main bearing for wear and scratches.
Important notes:
- Do not use silicone when assembling the pump.
- Do not reuse disassembled O-rings as they might be damaged. Always use new O-rings.
- It is essential to service the pump in conditions of absolute cleanliness. All parts must be absolutely clean before mounting.
- Lubricate all threads with PTFE lubrication type to prevent seizing-up.
- O-rings inside the pump may be lubricated only with clean filtered water.
- Lubricate all parts to be assembled with clean filtered water, especially all PEEK parts.
