To mount the charge controller, follow these steps:
1. Find a clean, vertical flat surface to mount the charge controller. Make sure to avoid water and sunlight exposure.
2. Ensure there is enough space both above and below the charge controller to allow for maximum air flow.
3. Connect the battery to the controller first, and then add the solar panel. Be careful not to switch the polarities, and cover the solar panel to prevent exposure to sunlight.
4. If you have a 12/24V DC application, you can optionally connect the load. For AC application, you will need to add an inverter.
5. Set the working mode for the loads. You can choose from OH (Dusk to Dawn), 1-20H (start at sundown and stop after 1-20 hours), or 24H (continuous operation for a full day).
6. Use wires ranging from 26-12 AWG. It is important to wire the controller as close as possible to the battery to avoid voltage dropping caused by long wires.
7. The inverter must be wired directly to the battery and not through the solar controller, as the solar controller has output limits (12/24V 20A Max.).
8. Make sure a battery is attached before adding solar panels. If you need to disassemble your system, remove the battery last. Improper sequence order can damage the controller.
Note: It is always recommended to refer to the instruction manual for specific installation details and safety precautions.
