The American Lighting 5LCS Undercabinet Light can be connected to a power source in a few different ways. Here are the steps for each method:
1. Connecting power via supply wires through the rear access door:
- Locate the rear access door in the center of the back of the fixture housing.
- Remove the knockout using a hammer or punch.
- Loosen the xxxx that secures the rear access door using a Philips head screwdriver or driver bit.
- Install the 3/8" cable connector (included) for the supply wire through the knockout on the access door.
- Strip back the jacket on the supply wires to 3/8" and use push-in wire connectors inside the housing to connect the wires, matching polarity (Black to Black = Hot, White to White = Neutral, Yellow/Green to Bare Wire = Ground).
- Replace the rear access door and tighten the retaining xxxx .
2. Connecting power via a power cord:
- Position the fixture in the desired location and secure it to an appropriate mounting surface using captive mounting screws.
- Remove the side port cover and insert the power cord into the side port labeled "input" until fully seated.
3. Interconnecting fixtures:
- If you want to interconnect nearby fixtures, remove the adjacent port covers and utilize a linking cable (sold separately).
- If you want to interconnect fixtures directly to each other (end-to-end), use the in-line connector included with each fixture by removing adjacent port covers and inserting it fully.
Please note that these are general instructions, and it is important to refer to the instruction manual for your specific model for detailed information and safety guidelines.
