To install the PULS FPS300.245-047-103 Power Supply Unit, follow these steps:
1. Choose a flat surface for installation with the terminals on the bottom of the device. If you need to mount it in a different orientation, be aware that it may require a reduction in output current.
2. Ensure that the installation area is suitable for pollution degree 3 in controlled environments.
3. Place the device on a large enough flat surface to prevent any sharp edges on the back from causing injury.
4. Use four screws of size M4 to mount the device on a bracket. Make sure to use screws of equal or higher strength for mounting the bracket.
5. When installing the device, ensure that all mating connectors are firmly connected to provide a degree of ingress protection of IP65 and IP67.
6. The device is designed as "Class of Protection I" equipment according to IEC 61140. It must be used with a proper PE (Protective Earth) connection.
7. Depending on the type of mains system, the device is designed for overvoltage category III or II zones up to a certain altitude. Refer to the manual for specific details.
8. Provide a disconnecting means for the input of the device.
9. The device is designed for convection cooling and does not require an external fan. Make sure not to obstruct airflow and avoid covering ventilation fins.
10. Keep the minimum installation clearances as specified: 50mm on top and bottom, 10mm on the front, and 10mm on the left and right sides.
11. The device is designed, tested, and approved for branch circuits up to 20A (UL) and 32A (IEC) without additional protection devices. If an external fuse is used, ensure it is not smaller than 6A B- or C-Characteristic to prevent nuisance tripping.
12. The maximum surrounding air temperature should not exceed +70°C (+158°F). The operational temperature is the same as the ambient or surrounding air temperature, defined as 2cm below the device.
13. The device is designed to operate in areas with relative humidity between 5% and 95%.
14. When cleaning the device, use only a damp cloth.
