To set up the UBIQUITI 4518524 UAP-AC-M-US Unifi Mesh Access Point, follow these steps:
1. Mount the Access Point: Choose a suitable location to mount the access point. Ensure it is within the range of your existing network and has a stable power source.
2. Connect the Access Point: Use an Ethernet cable to connect the access point to your network switch or router. Make sure the cable is securely connected to the Ethernet port on the access point.
3. Power on the Access Point: Connect the provided power adapter to the access point and plug it into a power outlet. The access point will start booting up.
4. Access the Configuration Interface: Open a web browser on a computer connected to the same network and enter "http://unifi.mesh" or "http://192.168.1.1" in the address bar. Press Enter to access the configuration interface.
5. Log in to the Configuration Interface: Enter the username and password for the access point. The default username is "ubnt," and the default password is also "ubnt." Click "Login" to proceed.
6. Configure the Access Point: Once logged in, you can configure various settings for the access point, such as wireless network name (SSID), security settings, and advanced options. Refer to the instruction manual for detailed instructions on configuring specific settings.
7. Save and Apply Changes: After making the desired configuration changes, click on the "Apply Changes" button to save and apply the settings to the access point.
8. Test the Access Point: Once the configuration is applied, test the access point by connecting to the wireless network using the configured SSID and password. Ensure that you have a stable internet connection and check if the access point is providing the desired coverage and performance.
