To install the PROMINENCE HOME 50650 52 Inch Indoor Ceiling Fan, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the electrical power at the main fuse or circuit breaker.
2. Remove the mounting bracket screws from the round holes in the canopy and loosen the other two mounting bracket screws from the J-slots. Install the mounting bracket to the outlet box using the screws and washers provided.
3. Remove the motor screws, washers, and motor blocks from the underside of the motor. Discard the motor blocks and washers but save the motor screws for blade arm installation.
4. For closemount installation, remove the closemount screws from the top of the motor assembly. Align the holes in the bottom of the canopy with the xxxx holes in the top of the motor assembly. Secure the canopy to the top of the motor assembly with the closemount screws.
5. For downrod mount, remove the downrod clip and downrod pin from the downrod. Feed the wires and braided cable coming from the yoke through the yoke cover, canopy, and downrod. Insert the downrod into the yoke and reinstall the downrod pin and downrod clip. Lift the downrod into the mounting bracket and rotate until the tab in the mounting bracket is seated in the slot in the downrod ball.
6. If using the secondary hanging system (required in Canada), feed the loop of the braided cable up through the outlet box mounted in the ceiling. Install the secondary support xxxx , secondary spring washer, and support washer partly into the side of the brace installed in the ceiling. Lift the braided cable up and over the ceiling brace and place the open loop of the braided cable around the secondary support xxxx . Tighten the secondary support xxxx to secure the braided cable.
7. Use wire connectors to connect the fan wires to the power supply wires according to the wiring diagram. Connect the white wire from the fan to the white (neutral) supply wire, the black and blue wires from the fan to the black (hot) supply wire, and the green wire from the downrod and mounting bracket to the bare/green (ground) supply wire.
8. Align the canopy over the mounting bracket screws and rotate clockwise. Secure the canopy with the mounting bracket screws.
9. Install the blade arms to the underside of the motor assembly with the motor screws. Tighten each blade arm completely.
10. Install the E26-base LED bulbs in the light kit and attach the light cage to the shade using the cage screws.
11. Connect the switch housing to the light kit using the switch housing screws.
12. Attach pull chain extensions to the pull chains.
13. Turn on the electrical power at the main fuse or circuit breaker.
