The error message "Sen 'A' Not Found" indicates that the sensor A of the RIGHT WEIGH 201-EBT-1XB Strain Sensor Bar and Pickup Coil is not working properly. There are a few potential reasons for this issue, as mentioned in the user manual.
1. Tension bar preload is out of detectable range: This is the most common problem on new installations. To fix this, you need to loosen all three set screws and carefully remove the tension bar. Turn off the gauge and then turn it back on to check if the sensor is detected. If the sensor is detected, reinstall the tension bar so that the frequency range is between 650 and 750 while the truck or trailer is empty, as specified in the installation manual. Finally, tighten down the mounting block screws.
2. The internal tension wire is broken: Under certain circumstances or after significant use, the wire inside the tension bar may break. To check if the wire is broken, lightly pull on each end of the bar. If the wire is broken, the ends will easily come off. In this case, you will need to contact Right Weigh customer service to purchase a replacement tension bar. Please note that tension bars are considered wear items, and replacements are covered under warranty for the first 3 years but must be purchased after the warranty period ends.
3. There is a break or short in the cabling: Disconnect the sensor cable from the back of the Right Weigh gauge and use a multi-tester to check the resistance across the 2 wires in the cable going to the sensor. The resistance should be between 100 and 200 ohms. If it is an open circuit, check for breaks in the cable. If it is a dead short or about 0 ohms, check for a shorted wire. If the resistance value is outside the range of 100-200 ohms, the pickup coil will need to be replaced.
If none of the above potential problems solve the issue and the error message persists, it could be a problem with the gauge itself. In such cases, it is recommended to contact Right Weigh for further assistance.
Please note that the replacement parts for the RIGHT WEIGH 201-EBT-1XB Strain Sensor Bar and Pickup Coil are listed in the manual, and you can refer to them if any component needs to be replaced.
