To connect the MeTra SPY-MNBLT3WIP8 4K Color Night Vision IP Camera to your network, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your PC's IPv4 address is in the same network segment as the IP address of the IP camera. The default IP address of the IP Camera is 192.168.1.168.
2. Method One:
- Check the IPv4 address of your PC by clicking [Start] / [Control Panel] / [Network and Internet] / [Network and Sharing Center] / [Local Network] / [Details].
- Set the PC's IPv4 address to match the IP camera's network segment (e.g., PC: 192.168.1.165).
- Alternatively, add the PC and network camera in the same network segment (e.g., 192.168.1.165).
- Note: The IPv4 address should not conflict with the IP address of any other device on the LAN.
3. Method Two:
- Use the IP search tool to change the searched IP camera to the same network segment as your PC.
- Default IP address of the IP Camera: 192.168.1.168.
- Default Username: admin.
- Default Password: admin.
- The changed URL should not conflict with the IP address of other devices on the LAN.
4. Ping the device address:
- Connect the camera and PC using a network cable in the same LAN and power them on.
- Open the command prompt by clicking [Start] and searching for "cmd" or pressing "win+R" and typing "cmd".
- Type "ping [IP address of the camera]" (e.g., ping 192.168.1.168) and press Enter.
- Check the system connection information. If the data package sent and received are both 4 with 0% loss, it means the PC and camera signal communication is normal.
5. Connection and login:
- Download and install the OCX plugin the first time you connect to the camera.
- Open the IP Search tool and click [Search].
- Double-click the camera you want to connect to.
- The login webpage will appear. Click [Download] to download and install the OCX plugin.
- After installation, refresh the browser and enter the default user and password (admin/admin). It is recommended to change the user and password for better security.
Once connected and logged in, you can access the real-time preview and configure various parameters of the camera through the browser user interface.
