To engage the front axle drive, switch the controller to position 1. This should only be done when the vehicle is at rest and at idle speed. The engagement is indicated by a control light. It is recommended to disengage the clutch pedal slowly after engaging or disengaging the front axle drive.
To activate the front axle differential lock, switch the controller to position 2. This should also be done when the vehicle is at rest and at idle speed. The front axle differential will be locked as long as the switch button is pressed. The engagement is indicated by a control light. The maximum speed with the differential lock engaged is limited to 20 km/hr. After disengaging the differential lock, it may still be engaged for some time, so it is important to respect the maximum speed of 20 km/hr and adjust your driving accordingly.
Please note that both the front axle drive and the differential lock can only be engaged when the air pressure exceeds 0.55 MPa. The front wheel drive is designed for use on unpaved roads, and the differential lock is not designed for continuous operation. Engaging the differential lock at speeds exceeding 20 km/hr may affect the maneuverability of the vehicle. It is also important not to engage the differential lock while the vehicle is moving or the wheels are slipping.
