To install the Hager EER505 Motion Detector Corridor, follow these steps:
1. Select an appropriate installation location: The motion detector should be installed horizontally on the corridor ceiling, approximately 1 meter away from doors. The detection area depends on the installation height, with a range of approximately 30 meters in length and 5 meters in width at an installation height of 3 meters.
2. Connect and install the built-in variant EER505: Install the device in such a way that the arrow shown in Figure 10 corresponds to the axis of the corridor. Establish an installation opening with a diameter of 68mm. Connect the motion detector according to the provided connecting diagram. Use cable ties to establish strain relief on the corresponding mounting devices. Attach the cover and configure the settings.
3. Connect and install the surface-mounted variant EER515: Pay attention to the mounting orientation. Install the device in such a way that the arrow shown in Figure 9 corresponds to the axis of the corridor. Feed the connection cable through the cable entry cut-out. Install the device base on the ceiling using appropriate fixings. If available, install the device base on a flush-mounted box. Connect the device according to the provided connection diagram. Snap the device module onto the base, xxxx in the security xxxx , and close the cover. Configure the settings.
4. Commissioning: After connecting the power, the device will enter a warm-up phase for up to 45 seconds. During this time, the status LED will flash green. If the device is set to slave mode, the status LED will flash alternately red and green, and the relay will be open.
