To install the Craftmade TER52 fan, follow these steps:
1. Before starting, turn off the electricity to the fan at the main fuse box or circuit panel.
2. Read all instructions and safety information carefully before installing the fan.
3. Ensure that you have a location selected for the fan that allows clear space for the blades to rotate and at least seven feet of clearance between the floor and the fan blade tips.
4. Make sure the outlet box and ceiling support joist used are securely mounted and capable of supporting at least 35 pounds.
5. Use only CETL in Canada or ETL in the USA listed outlet boxes marked "FOR FAN SUPPORT."
6. Ensure that the outlet box is marked "Acceptable for Fan Support of 35 lb or less" and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box.
7. Make sure the wire connectors provided with the fan are used correctly and that the electrical connections comply with local codes and regulations.
8. After making electrical connections, secure all connections and push spliced conductors carefully up into the outlet box.
9. Do not use power tools to assemble any part of the fan, including the blades.
10. Do not use a solid-state speed control device or a full-range dimmer switch to control fan speed.
11. Do not operate the reverse switch until the fan has come to a complete stop.
12. Avoid inserting objects into the path of the blades and be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
13. Use a dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth for cleaning. Do not use water or detergents.
14. Use only parts provided with the fan to avoid voiding the warranty.
15. Do not tamper with or attempt to repair the LED component of the fixture. Contact customer service for any servicing needs.
16. The light kit is dimmable to 10% with the included remote control.
17. Follow FCC guidelines for operation and interference prevention.
18. Unpack the fan carefully and check that all parts are included.
19. Install the hanging bracket securely to the outlet box.
20. Assemble the blades and attach them to the motor housing.
21. Assemble the fan and attach the downrod.
22. Thread the electrical wires through the downrod and connect them properly.
23. Assemble the canopy and attach it to the hanging bracket.
24. Assemble the light kit and attach it to the switch housing.
25. Test the fan and light before finalizing the installation.
26. Set the reverse switch to the desired position for air circulation.
27. Attach pull chain extensions to the pull chains if desired.
28. Troubleshoot any issues following the troubleshooting guide in the manual.
29. Refer to the warranty for any parts replacement or repairs needed.
