To install the CALEX Smart Outdoor 24v Garden Lighting, please follow the steps below:
1. Before installing the product, check which plugs and screws are best suited for the intended surface.
2. Do not connect the product to a power supply while it is still in the package or wound onto a reel.
3. Ensure that the product is not covered or recessed into a surface.
4. The product must be connected to an earthed socket if it is labeled as Safety Class !. Connect the ground wire (yellow green vein) to the marked terminal.
5. If the product is labeled as Safety Class l, it is double insulated and does not need to be connected to an earthed socket.
6. Take note of the intended use of the product. If it is labeled for indoor use only, do not install it outdoors.
7. Ensure that the luminaire is not covered with insulating material.
8. Check the IP rating of the product to determine its suitability for different environments. IP20 indicates it is intended for use in dry spaces indoors, while higher ratings like IP44 and IP54 indicate protection against water spray and limited dust ingress.
9. If the protective glass is damaged, it must be replaced immediately.
10. Respect the minimum distance between the light source and illuminated materials as indicated in the icon.
11. Use only lamps of the correct type and never exceed the maximum indicated wattage.
12. Use a heat-resistant cable to connect the luminaire to the mains.
13. If the luminaire does not work after replacing the lamp, check and replace the built-in fuse if necessary. Qualified electricians should handle any fixed connection wiring.
14. Follow the instructions for the specific type of luminaire, such as top-mirror lamps or those requiring special cords.
15. Ensure that no electrical or other wires in the ceiling or wall are touched during installation.
16. Do not clamp or twist electrical installation wires between the luminaire and the mounting surface.
17. If the luminaire is dimmable, use a compatible TRIAC dimmer.
18. This product uses LED technology and is only suitable for it.
19. If the light source of the luminaire is not replaceable, the entire luminaire must be replaced when it reaches the end of its service life.
20. Keep the product away from sharp edges, oils, and heat. Do not use it in areas with a risk of explosion or near flammable substances or gases.
