According to the owner's manual, the unit should be cleaned once a month for proper operation. Here are the cleaning instructions:
1. Wipe down the unit exterior with a damp cloth.
2. Vacuum the pre-filter.
3. Remove the top of the unit to access the interior. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth or vacuum.
4. Replace the filter annually or biannually.
5. Spray the air quality sensor with compressed air and/or wipe it with an alcohol swab.
Remember to always unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
