To install the FORNO FRHWM5010-30 Wall Mount Range Hood, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the location: Draw a vertical line on the supporting wall at the center of where the hood will be installed. Also, draw a horizontal line at the desired height (minimum 25" above an electric hob or 30" above a gas hob).
2. Mount the chimney brackets: Place the chimney mounting brackets on the wall, aligning the center with the vertical reference line. Mark the wall at the center of the holes in the brackets. Fix the brackets using the mounting screws.
3. Mount the hood body: Hook the body onto the screws in the wall and balance it by slightly adjusting the hood mounting screws.
4. Fix the damper (flaps): Attach the damper (flaps) into the air outlet adapter, ensuring it is flexible in opening and closing.
5. Fix the duct: Attach a 6" round duct to the recessed area of the air outlet adapter and secure it with duct tape to seal the joints.
6. Make the electrical connections: The electrical wiring must be done by a qualified person in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. Turn off the electrical power before wiring and do not use an extension cord other than the one initially supplied with the hood.
7. Assemble the telescopic chimney: Raise the decorative chimney top inside the decorative chimney bottom and secure it to the chimney mounting bracket with the provided screws.
8. Operations: The range hood has buttons for power, speed control, and lamp control. Press the power button to turn on the hood, use the speed buttons to adjust the fan speed, and use the lamp button to turn the light on or off.
