Setting up the NETGEAR RBK23-100NAS Orbi Tri-band Home Mesh WiFi System is a straightforward process. Here are the steps to get started:
1. Connect the Orbi router to your modem:
- Use the included Ethernet cable to connect the yellow Internet port on the Orbi router to the modem.
- Plug in the power adapter to the Orbi router and a power outlet.
2. Wait for the router's LED to light solid white.
3. Connect your computer or mobile device to the Orbi network:
- On your device, go to the Wi-Fi settings and connect to the default Orbi network (SSID) listed on the label of the Orbi router.
- Enter the default password provided on the label.
4. Launch a web browser on your connected device and enter "http://orbilogin.com" or "http://192.168.1.1" in the address bar.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Orbi network:
- Create a new admin password for your Orbi system.
- Choose security settings for your Wi-Fi network.
- Customize your network name (SSID) and password.
6. Once the setup is complete, you can connect additional Orbi satellites (if included in your package) to extend the coverage of your Wi-Fi network. Follow the instructions provided in the manual for satellite setup.
