To clean the filters on the Hoover UH72625 WindTunnel 3 Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, please follow these steps:
1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner.
2. Locate the filter cover on the front of the vacuum, just below the dirt cup.
3. Press the release latch on the filter cover and lift it up to remove it.
4. Take out the primary filter by grasping the tab and pulling it straight out.
5. Tap the filter gently against the side of a trash can to remove any loose dirt and debris.
6. Rinse the primary filter under running water until the water runs clear. Do not use any soap or detergent.
7. Squeeze out excess water from the filter and set it aside to air dry completely. This may take up to 24 hours.
8. While the primary filter is drying, locate the HEPA filter at the bottom of the dirt cup.
9. Twist the HEPA filter counterclockwise to unlock it and remove it from the dirt cup.
10. Tap the HEPA filter gently against the side of a trash can to remove any loose dirt and debris.
11. Rinse the HEPA filter under running water until the water runs clear. Again, do not use any soap or detergent.
12. Squeeze out excess water from the filter and set it aside to air dry completely.
13. Once both filters are completely dry, reinsert the HEPA filter into the dirt cup and twist it clockwise to lock it in place.
14. Insert the primary filter back into the vacuum, making sure it is fully seated.
15. Place the filter cover back onto the vacuum and press it down until it clicks into place.
16. Plug in the vacuum cleaner and it is now ready to use with clean filters.
Please note that it is recommended to clean the filters every 1-2 months, depending on usage, to maintain optimal performance.
