To set up the Nighthawk EX8000 X6S Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender, follow these steps:
1. Connect the extender to a power source and wait for the power LED to turn solid green.
2. Place the extender in the same room as your router for the initial setup.
3. On your computer or mobile device, connect to the WiFi network named "NETGEAR_EXT" using the default password provided in the manual.
4. Open a web browser and enter "www.mywifiext.net" in the address bar. If the website does not load, try "192.168.1.250" as the URL.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your extender. You may be prompted to create a new admin password and select your timezone.
6. After the setup is complete, you can move the extender to its desired location within the range of your existing WiFi network.
7. Use the Nighthawk App to manage and monitor your extender, including WiFi settings, device list, network map, and more.
