To connect the RW 201 Series Exterior Digital Onboard Load Scale to your mobile device, you will need to download the appropriate app and follow these steps:
1. Download the Right Weigh Load Scale App or the V-DAQ App from the Google Play or App Store, depending on your specific use case. The Right Weigh Load Scale App is suitable if you are not required to have a TCA compliant OBM system, while the V-DAQ App is necessary for a TCA Category B Type-Approved OBM system.
2. Once the app is downloaded and opened, you will see the home screen with no gauge connected to it and a gross weight of "0".
3. With the load scale turned off, hold down the MENU button, press the ON/OFF button, and release both simultaneously. This will enable the load scale to be discoverable by your mobile device.
4. Press the MENU button twice to view the unique identifier of the load scale. This identifier will appear in the factory-set scale name and the scale ID (MSU ID) displayed in the app.
5. On the app home screen, press the "Add Gauge" button and choose whether the gauge is connected to the truck or trailer. If you are adding multiple gauges, add the truck gauge first and then add the trailer gauges in order from front to back.
6. Look for the gauge with the name containing the unique identifier found in step 4. Select the appropriate gauge to add it to the home screen. When connecting multiple scales, add them in the order they appear on the vehicle, from front to back.
Once the load scale is connected to your mobile device, you can view the weight data and access additional features provided by the app. Please note that the Bluetooth connection range is between 100 to 250 feet, depending on various factors such as device brand, line of sight, and material interferences.
