To install the AKRAPOVIC Slip-On exhaust system on your Ducati Scrambler 880, please follow the steps outlined in the installation manual provided. Here is a summary of the installation process:
1. Before starting the installation, ensure that you have all the necessary parts and tools required for the installation. Check the parts list provided in the manual and verify that you have all the components.
2. Begin by removing the stock exhaust system. Follow the instructions in the manual or refer to the motorcycle manufacturer's workshop manual for guidance on removing the original exhaust system.
3. Once the stock exhaust system is removed, install the Akrapovič additional bracket using the provided bolt, washer, and nut. Make sure to tighten it to the specified torque.
4. Reinstall the rear master cylinder, driver's foot peg, and foot brake lever onto the motorcycle according to the instructions in the manual.
5. Assemble the mufflers with the collector and attach the springs provided. Install the graphite gasket and clamp onto the collector's inlet.
6. Position the mufflers with the link pipe correctly and slide it onto the stock header. Hand tighten the muffler's bracket onto the additional Akrapovič bracket using the provided bolt, washers, and nut.
7. Align the mufflers in respect to the motorcycle and tighten the muffler's bracket bolt and clamp to the specified torques.
8. After the installation is complete, clean any grease spots off the Akrapovič product's surfaces using appropriate cleaning methods as described in the manual.
9. Ensure that all nuts and bolts are sufficiently tightened. If the Akrapovič product touches the cowling or other parts, readjust the product or contact your authorized dealer.
10. Reinstall any dismounted or partially removed stock parts, such as cowlings or radiators, following the vehicle manufacturer's workshop manual for correct procedures and tightening torques.
