To connect the GT-805A-PD media converter to your network, follow these steps:
1. Slide in the SFP transceiver module into the SFP slot on the front panel of the media converter.
2. Connect the fiber cable from the GT-805A-PD to the fiber network.
3. Connect a standard Cat5e/6 UTP cable from your power source equipment (PSE), such as a PoE switch or injector, to the "PoE IN" port of the GT-805A-PD.
Make sure to use "Solid UTP Cable" for better PoE power and data extension quality. The GT-805A-PD can also be installed with a third-party device that complies with the IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standard.
