To install the PHILIPS Enrave L Hue Ceiling Lamp, please follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that the power is turned off before starting the installation process to avoid the risk of electric shock.
2. Strip the wires: Strip the insulation from the wires to expose the conductors. For wires of size #16 and smaller, strip approximately 3/8" (9.5mm) of insulation. For larger wires, strip approximately 5/16" (7.9mm) of insulation.
3. Connect the wires: Hold the stripped wires together with the ends even. Pre-twisting the wires is unnecessary. If the wires are stranded, slightly twist the leads to ensure a secure connection. Align any frayed strands or conductors.
4. Use wire connectors: Push the wires into the wire connector. xxxx the connector on until two twists are visible in the wires. Ensure that the wires are securely connected.
5. Ensure compatibility: The wire connectors provided with the PHILIPS Enrave L Hue Ceiling Lamp are suitable for use with copper to copper conductors. The temperature rating for the connectors is 105°C (221°F) maximum. The voltage rating is 600V maximum for building wiring and 1000V maximum in fixtures and signs.
6. Follow applicable installation codes: It is important to install the lamp in accordance with the applicable installation code.
