To clean the kettle, always remove the plug from the power supply before cleaning. The exterior of the kettle can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Stubborn spots can be removed with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent, but do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
To descale the kettle, it is recommended to do so at least twice a year with normal use. Here are the steps to descale the kettle:
1. Fill the kettle to the MAX. mark with a 1:2 mixture of ordinary vinegar and water.
2. Put the kettle on the base, switch it on, and wait for the kettle to boil and switch off automatically.
3. Keep the mixture in the kettle overnight.
4. Discard the mixture the next morning.
5. Fill the kettle to MAX. with clean water and boil the kettle.
6. Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
7. Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
Please note that descaling is important to maintain the kettle's heating efficiency and should be done periodically depending on the water hardness in your area and the frequency of use.
