To install the Puravent M.HP07-09 Monobloc Backup Electric Heater, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the installation site: Ensure the installation surface is flat, vertical, and noncombustible. The backup heater is designed for indoor wall mounting only.
2. Mount the backup heater: Fix the wall bracket to the wall using M8 screws. Mark the position of the hole at the bottom of the backup heater and drill a hole for the bottom xxxx . Fix the wall bracket to the backup heater using M4 screws. Hang the backup heater onto the wall bracket and make sure it is properly fixed. Finally, fix the bottom of the backup heater to the wall using M8 expansion screws.
3. Connect the water piping: Connect the water piping (field supply) to the water in and outlet of the backup heater. Ensure not to use excessive force when connecting the piping to avoid deformation.
4. Connect the electrical wiring: The power supply should be an independent circuit with the rated voltage. The power supply circuit should be effectively earthed. The wiring must be performed by professional technicians in accordance with national wiring regulations and the provided circuit diagram. Route the wiring inside the backup heater and fix it with cable ties to the cable tie mountings. Ensure a distance of at least 25 mm between high voltage and low voltage cables. Connect the backup heater power supply and the earth cable to guarantee complete grounding.
5. Connect the backup heater kit to the outdoor unit: For sensor connection, connect 2 wires between backup heater terminals XT20M/5+6 and control box connector T1. For connection with the control box, connect 3 wires between backup heater terminals XT20/1+2 and control box terminals XT9/31+39. If there is a tank with a built-in electrical booster heater in the system, use a dedicated power circuit for the backup heater and booster heater. Never share a power circuit with another appliance.
