To engage the Alpha·Omega Engine on the Darkglass Electronics Alpha Omega 500 amplifier, you can use either the front panel or the Intelligent Footswitch. On the front panel, there is a push button labeled "DISTORTION." Pressing this button will turn the Alpha·Omega Engine on or off, adding natural compression, organic harmonic enhancement, and saturation to your sound.
Alternatively, you can use the Intelligent Footswitch, which is a digitally controlled device. Simply connect a regular mono instrument cable from the footswitch to the amplifier. With the footswitch connected, you can remotely engage and disengage the Alpha·Omega Engine. You can also hold the footswitch to mute the amplifier. It's important to note that the distortion push button on the front panel will remain operational with the Intelligent Footswitch plugged in.
For more information on using the Intelligent Footswitch or configuring the Alpha·Omega Engine, you can refer to the Darkglass Electronics Alpha Omega 500 500W Amplifier Owner's Manual.
