To set up the Wavlink WN570HP2 High Power Outdoor Wireless AP/Range Extender, please follow the steps below:
1. Hardware Overview:
- The extender has RP-SMA antenna connectors, 3 Wi-Fi signal LEDs, a Wi-Fi LED, a WAN/LAN LED, and a POWER LED.
- It also has a reset button, a WAN/LAN port (POE), and a grounding terminal.
2. Default Parameters:
- Web: http://wifi.wavlink.com
- Default IP: 192.168.10.1
- Login Password: admin
- SSID: WAVLINK-N
- Wireless Key: no
3. Assembly:
- There are two installation options: fastening the holder to the wall with screws or fastening it to a post.
- Follow the provided installation instructions to securely attach the main body holder and connect the antenna.
4. LAN to Wi-Fi Extension Quick Setup:
- Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the "POE" port of the POE converter.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the "LAN DATA IN" port of the POE converter and the "LAN" port of your router.
- Plug in the power connector to the "DC24V" port of the POE converter and connect the power adapter to an electrical outlet.
- Push the "ON/OFF" button on the POE converter to power it on.
5. Connect to the Device:
- For Windows users, unplug any Ethernet cable from your computer and click the Wireless Network Connection icon on your taskbar. Connect to the device's network: WAVLINK-N.
- For Mac OS X users, unplug any Ethernet cable from your computer and click the Wi-Fi icon in the top right corner of the screen. Connect to the device's network: WAVLINK-N.
6. Launch Web Browser and Login:
- Launch a web browser and type http://wifi.wavlink.com in the address field.
- Enter "admin" (all lowercase) as the login password.
- If the login window does not pop up, refer to the FAQ for troubleshooting.
7. Setup Wizard:
- After logging in, click "Wizard" and then select "AP (LAN Bridge)".
- Choose the security type and enter the password for your extended network.
8. Change Login Password:
- It is recommended to change the default login password.
- Launch a web browser and type http://wifi.wavlink.com in the address field.
- Enter "admin" (all lowercase) as the login password.
- Click "Setup -> Login Password" and enter the old password, then set a new password and click "Apply".
