To set the motor's running current and idle current on the STM23R Integrated Steppers, follow these steps:
1. Locate switches 1 and 2 on the drive. These switches are used to set the motor's running current.
2. By default, the switches are set to 100% (full current). If you want to adjust the running current, use a small flat blade screwdriver to change the position of switches 1 and 2. Each switch has two positions: ON and OFF.
3. If you want the motor to use a percentage of the full current when the shaft is rotating, set switch 1 to ON and switch 2 to OFF. The percentage is determined by the position of switch 1. For example, if switch 1 is ON and switch 2 is OFF, the motor will use 50% of the full current.
4. To set the motor's idle current, locate switch 3 on the drive. By default, switch 3 is set to 100% (same as the running current).
5. If you want to adjust the idle current, use a small flat blade screwdriver to change the position of switch 3. It also has two positions: ON and OFF. Set switch 3 to ON for maximum holding torque (90% of running current) or set it to OFF to reduce motor heating (50% of running current).
