To install the eSAM402 mixer in a rack, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the rack you are using is a standard 19" rack and has enough space for the mixer, which takes up 1U of rack space.
2. Place the mixer in the desired position within the rack.
3. Make sure to keep the mixer away from noise and interference sources such as dimmers and power cables.
4. Connect the mixer to a power source using the provided external power supply. The power supply accepts a voltage range of 100-240VAC and a frequency range of 50-60Hz. Use the appropriate interchangeable connector for your region (American, European, British, or Chinese).
5. Avoid installing the mixer in dusty environments or locations with extreme temperature and moisture.
6. Connect the audio sources to the mixer's inputs. The eSAM402 supports three types of audio signals for the first three inputs: mono microphone or stereo line. Select the desired input type using the MIC/LINE switch on the rear panel.
7. For microphone signals, use the Euroblock connector on the rear panel. The mixer provides adjustable microphone sensitivity using the GAIN control on the rear panel.
8. The eSAM402 also supports phantom power for condenser microphones. By default, phantom power is disabled, but it can be enabled by adjusting an internal jumper (refer to the wiring diagram in the manual).
9. Connect the main stereo output (OUT L / OUT R) of the mixer to your audio system using the electronically balanced Euroblock connectors.
10. Additional connections on the back panel include an AUX/REC output, a mono/stereo switch for the main mix output, and a MUTE remote control input for external dry contact closures.
11. Once the mixer is installed and all connections are made, power on the mixer using the POWER mains switch. It is recommended to power on the mixer after other audio equipment in the system.
