To install the Exclusive Home RD014863DSEHB1 Adjustable 1 Inch Double Curtain Rod Kit, follow these steps:
1. Unscrew the back plate from the rod using a screwdriver.
2. Use the back plates as a guide to locate the desired positions on the wall and create markings for the mounting screws.
3. Set aside the back plates and drill holes into the wall where marked, using a 1/4 inch drill bit.
4. Insert wall anchors if necessary (not needed if screwing into a wooden batten).
5. Attach the back plate to the wall using the screws provided.
6. Connect the six-piece rod together, with the rod of the largest diameter being the middle piece.
7. Slide the assembled rod into the back plates.
8. Place the support bracket in the center and create markings on the wall for the mounting screws.
9. Take down the assembled rod from the back plates.
10. Drill holes into the wall where marked, using a 1/4 inch drill bit.
11. Insert wall anchors if necessary (not needed if screwing into a wooden batten).
12. Attach the bracket to the wall using the screws provided.
13. Remove the right rods from the middle rods.
14. Slip the curtain panels onto the left rods.
15. Slip the curtain panels onto the right rod and slide the right rods back into the middle rods.
16. Place the rods with curtains into the back plates and center support.
17. Tighten the screws on the back plates and center bracket to secure the rod.
18. Wrap and adjust the panels around both ends of the rod so that the panels hang flush with the wall.
