According to the owner's manual, the filters in the Brondell Pro Sanitizing Air Purifier should be replaced at least once annually. However, the actual filter life may vary depending on usage and environment. The Filter Check Indicator light on the unit is programmed to illuminate every 2000 hours of use, but it is recommended to replace the filters every 8-12 months. It is important to clean the filters regularly and on schedule to prolong their lifespan. The maintenance schedule provided in the manual suggests cleaning the woven pre-filter every two to four weeks, cleaning the nanocrystalline filter every two months by exposing it to sunlight for one to three hours, and checking the color of the high-efficiency AG+ filter every two months. If the high-efficiency AG+ filter is light grey, it can be reused for another 2000 hours. If it is dark or black, it is time to replace it. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the filters are crucial for optimal performance and air purification. Replacement filters can be purchased separately from Brondell.
