To pair new microphones to the Topcat using Lightspeed TCN, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both the microphones and the Topcat are powered off.
2. Point the IR transmitter lens of the microphone towards the Topcat (for Sharemike, the transmitter lens is located on the back of the microphone).
3. Press and hold the power button on the microphone for 5 seconds until the mic 1 and mic 2 lights start flashing. Then, release the button and let the pairing process finish.
4. The "status" light on the Topcat will light up, indicating that the pairing process is complete. The mic 1 or mic 2 light on the microphone will stay illuminated.
If the status light on the Topcat blinks rapidly after 30 seconds, it means the pairing process was not successful, and you will need to start the pairing process again.
Note: The Lightspeed TCN system is shipped with microphones and base units pre-paired for quick and easy use. The pairing process is only necessary if you need to pair new components.
