To install the LEDone LOC-DL-MW-MCCT LED Ceiling Light, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you read the installation guide carefully before attempting to install the fixture.
2. The fixture must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes.
3. Proper grounding is required for safety.
4. Disconnect power before installing or servicing the light to prevent the risk of electrical shock.
5. The lamp should only be installed in operating environments ranging between -30°C and +40°C (-22 °F and +104°F) to prevent early lamp failure.
6. Do not disassemble the product as there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
7. If you are not qualified, do not attempt the installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
8. Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.
9. To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
10. Installers should not disconnect existing wires from lamp holder terminals to make new components. Instead, cut existing lamp holder leads away from the lamp holder and make new electrical connections to the lamp holder lead wires using applicable connectors.
11. This fixture is accepted as a component of a luminaire, and the suitability of the combination should be determined by authorities having jurisdiction.
12. Consult a qualified electrician to ensure the correct branch circuit conductor to prevent the risk of fire.
13. Clean the frosted polystyrene lens and fixture with a non-abrasive cleaning solution. Do not open the fixture to clean the LEDs or touch the LEDs.
14. This luminaire has been modified to operate LED lamps only. Do not attempt to install or operate fluorescent lamps in this luminaire.
For installation with an existing frame:
1. Turn off the power.
2. Remove the old housing for the lamp.
3. Attach the carabiner safety clip to the existing fixture housing.
4. Remove the junction box faceplate and disconnect all wires to the ballast. Remove the ballast from the J-box. Connect incoming power and for 0-10V dimming circuits, connect the appropriate wires. Reattach the J-box faceplate.
5. Adjust the fixture power and color temperature to the desired settings.
6. Install the downlight by lifting both retention tabs upward and pushing until the trim sits flush against the ceiling.
7. Restore power at the source, and the installation is complete.
For installation without an existing frame:
1. Turn off the power at the source.
2. Use the template provided in the box to cut a hole in the ceiling.
3. Insert the lamp conduit into a preinstalled J-box and wire it to the power source. For -10V dimming circuits, connect the appropriate wires. Close the J-box securely.
4. Install the downlight by lifting both retention tabs upward and pushing until the trim sits flush against the ceiling.
5. Depending on the model (4", 6", 8", or 9.5"), follow the same steps for installation.
6. Restore power at the source, and the installation is complete.
