To update the firmware of the PORTKEYS LEYE SDI Electronic Viewfinder, please follow these steps:
1. Download the firmware zip file from the official website of PORTKEYS and unzip it.
2. Copy the upgrade file (LEYE.bin or LEYE_MIU.bin) to the root directory of a USB flash drive.
3. Power on the viewfinder and insert the USB flash drive into the USB interface of the device.
4. Access the main menu by pressing the MENU button on the viewfinder.
5. Select "Firmware" from the menu options and enter the firmware interface.
6. Choose "Firmware Upgrade (USB)" from the options.
7. Confirm the upgrade by clicking on the appropriate button.
8. The upgrade process will begin, and the viewfinder will automatically restart in a black screen (do not power off the device during this process).
9. Once the upgrade is complete, power on the viewfinder and go to Main Menu → Firmware → Version Information to confirm if the firmware has been successfully upgraded.
Please note the following tips for a successful firmware update:
- Ensure that the firmware file is placed in the root directory of the USB flash drive.
- Keep the viewfinder powered on throughout the entire update process.
- Use a USB flash drive with a storage capacity below 16GB.
- It is recommended to use a USB flash drive formatted in FAT32.
- If the firmware update fails, repeat the process from step 3 onwards.
