To change the battery in the , follow these steps:
1. When the "\/" symbol appears and flashes in the center top of the display, it indicates that the battery is exhausted and needs to be replaced.
2. Using a coin, unlock the battery cover located on the back of the thermometer.
3. Carefully remove the old battery using a non-metallic instrument.
4. Replace the old battery with a 1.55V, L41 alkaline or CR1225 silver oxide type or equivalent. Make sure the positive (+) side of the battery is facing the battery cover.
5. Carefully replace the battery cover and use a coin to tighten it securely.
6. Properly discard the old battery, keeping it out of reach of young children, elderly, and pets.
