To clean the toaster, follow these steps:
1. Always allow the toaster to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Unplug the toaster from the electrical outlet.
3. Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
4. To remove crumbs, slide out the crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Discard the crumbs, wipe the tray clean, and replace it. Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray in place.
5. If there are any remaining pieces of bread stuck in the toaster, turn the toaster upside down and gently shake it. Do not insert any hard or sharp instruments into the slot.
6. Do not wrap the cord around the outside of the toaster. Use the cord storage cleats on the underside of the toaster.
