To attach the BOYA BY-M1 microphone to your clothing, follow these steps:
1. Insert the microphone into the plastic loop on the clothing clip.
2. Attach the microphone to the front of your clothing using the clothing clip, positioning it about 20-25cm (8-10 inches) from your face.
3. It is recommended to attach the microphone upside down to reduce excessive breath noises and tonal inconsistencies caused by head movements.
4. Use the foam windscreen provided with the microphone at all times to minimize wind noise, even when recording indoors.
Additional tips and notes:
- You can tape a loose loop of the microphone cord to the inside of your clothing for additional strain relief and to isolate unwanted noise.
- Before recording an important event, it is advisable to record and playback a short test clip with the microphone attached to ensure proper audio recording functionality.
