Cleaning the Andis MBG-2 EasyClip Pro-Animal Detachable Blade Clipper is an important part of maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Here are the steps to clean the clipper:
1. First, make sure the clipper is switched OFF and unplugged.
2. Remove the blade set by pushing down on the blade and gently pulling it forward to slide it off the blade hinge.
3. Use a small brush or an old toothbrush to brush out any hair or debris from the front cavity of the housing under the blade.
4. To clean the blades, you can immerse them only into a shallow pan of Andis Clipper Oil while the clipper is running. This will help remove any excess hair and dirt that has accumulated between the blades.
5. After cleaning, turn the clipper OFF and dry the blades with a dry cloth.
6. Finally, reassemble the blade set by sliding the blade bracket onto the hinge of the clipper and pushing the blade towards the clipper to lock it into position.
Remember to oil the blades before, during, and after each use to ensure smooth operation. Use Andis Clipper Oil and apply a few drops to the front and side of the cutter blades, wiping off any excess oil with a soft dry cloth.
