To install the Stant STA45359 Superstat Premium Thermostat, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the engine is cool before starting the installation process.
2. Locate the thermostat housing, which is usually located on the engine block near the upper radiator hose.
3. Drain some coolant from the radiator to prevent any spills during the installation. Place a drain pan underneath the radiator and open the drain valve.
4. Remove the bolts or clips securing the thermostat housing and carefully remove the old thermostat.
5. Clean the thermostat housing and the mating surface on the engine block to ensure a proper seal.
6. Install the new Stant STA45359 Superstat Premium Thermostat into the housing with the v-notch facing towards the engine block.
7. Apply a small amount of gasket sealant or silicone to the thermostat housing to ensure a proper seal.
8. Reinstall the thermostat housing and tighten the bolts or clips securely.
9. Refill the radiator with the appropriate coolant mixture and close the drain valve.
10. Start the engine and monitor the temperature gauge to ensure the thermostat is functioning correctly.
