Properly grounding the Garrett ACE 250 Metal Detector is essential for optimal performance and accurate target detection. The metal detector is designed to automatically ground balance, but there are a few steps you can follow to ensure proper grounding:
1. Turn on the metal detector by pressing the Power button.
2. Hold the searchcoil about 1-2 feet above the ground.
3. Press and hold the Ground Balance button located on the control panel.
4. Lower the searchcoil to the ground while continuing to hold the Ground Balance button.
5. Slowly raise the searchcoil back up to the starting position while still holding the Ground Balance button.
6. Release the Ground Balance button.
By following these steps, the metal detector will automatically ground balance itself to the soil conditions, ensuring accurate target detection. It is important to perform this procedure whenever you change search locations or encounter different soil types to maintain optimal performance.
