To adjust the miter angle on the Makita LS1018, LS1018L Slide Compound Miter Saw, follow these steps:
1. Loosen the grip by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Turn the turn base while pressing down the lock lever.
3. Move the grip to the position where the pointer points to the desired angle on the miter scale.
4. Securely tighten the grip clockwise to lock the miter angle in place.
Make sure to always secure the turn base by tightening the grip firmly after changing the miter angle.
