The installation instructions for the avtec M Series Energy Distribution Systems are provided in the user manual. Here are the general steps for installation:
1. Island Style Installation:
- Bolt field joints together as shown in the diagram.
- Mount the control tower using ¼”-20 bolts between the raceway and control tower.
- Bolt the raceway to pedestals with ¼”-20 bolts and nuts, using flat washers beneath the head of the bolt and under the nut when bolting through slots.
- Adjust the pedestals so that they are centered under the raceway and one inch from the end of the raceway.
- Install the raceway in position and attach the hanging rod to the structural ceiling using turnbuckles to make final adjustments in raceway height.
- Install the side panels by slipping them into place at the top and fastening them with #8-32 screws at the bottom.
2. Wall Mounted Installation:
- Bolt field joints together using ¼”-20 bolts and nuts, with flat washers beneath the heads of the bolts and under the nut when bolting through slots.
- Bolt the risor to the raceway through the flange and to the sloped-top through the side of the risor with ¼”-20 nuts and bolts, using flat washers beneath the head of the bolt and under the nut when bolting through slots.
- Locate the stud centerlines on the inside of the unit if mounting to a stud wall. Drill corresponding mounting holes in the back of the unit. Install mounting hardware into the wall.
- Mount the back of the service enclosure to the wall by drilling through the back of the housing and attach the front of the enclosure to the back with the provided hardware.
- Install the side panels by slipping them into place at the top and fastening them with #8-32 screws at the bottom.
