Yes, you can use a different power source for the light kit, but please ensure that the maximum voltage does not exceed 6V. The light kit is designed to be connected to the battery box, but if you prefer to use another power source, make sure it is compatible with the voltage requirement. Please note that using a power source with a higher voltage may damage the light kit.
