To assemble the RYOBI RY40701 40 Volt Brushless Hole Auger, follow these steps:
1. Unpack the product and inspect it for any damage or missing parts. Make sure all items listed in the Packing List are included.
2. Assemble the handles:
a. Insert the tubes of the right and left handle assemblies into the curved slots on the power head base plate.
b. Align the holes on the handles with the holes on the power head base plate.
c. Secure the handles by tightening the screws with the included tools (hex key and flat wrench).
d. Connect the right side handle to the wire assembly by screwing the terminals together until thumb tight.
3. Assemble the hole auger:
a. Stand the auger bit upright with the tip pointing down.
b. Remove the locking pin with pin clip from the auger.
c. Install the drive shaft onto the power head.
d. Align the holes on the auger and drive shaft.
e. Insert the locking pin and secure it with the pin clip.
