To connect the ELATEC RFID TWN4 MULTITECH 2 LF HF Desktop Reader to a host device, simply follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the host device is powered off.
2. Connect the appropriate communication cable (e.g., USB or RS-232) from the reader to the host device.
3. If using an external power supply unit, make sure it meets the safety norms listed in the declaration of conformity and has a short-circuit current of less than 8 A.
4. Power on the host device.
Once the ELATEC RFID TWN4 MULTITECH 2 LF HF Desktop Reader is connected to the host device, it will detect the type of communication cable and initialize itself. The reader will then enter normal operation mode and start searching for transponders.
